Audubon Park New Orleans
Audubon Park is located Uptown New Orleans along St. Charles Avenue. Its rich history
of family recreation dates back to the 1800's. Today Audubon Park is much more than a place to spend Sunday afternoon under the massive oak trees.
The Audubon Park Golf course is a combination of 100 years of golfing history transformed by golf course designer, Dennis Griffiths. During the construction of the golf course, I had the pleasure of being involved in the landscape and turf installation
. Our team installed tens of thousand of plants that are suitable for the New Orleans climate and complimented the golf play.
One of the first landscape project I completed at Audubon Park was the Newman Bandstand. Growing up I had spent my weekends around the Newman Bandstand after all of the 5k runs hosted by the area running clubs. I also remember the embankment at the waters edge failing and I watch one of our brand new bobcats float into the lagoon.
Beautiful Oaks that shade the running path are amazing. During the hot and humid days in New Orleans, these oak tress are a huge welcome on an afternoon run.
